Frequently Asked Questions

I recommend booking your bridal appointment at least 9-12 months in advance, especially if you are getting married during peak wedding season  (May to October) This will allow you ample time to say “Yes” to your dream dress and have any necessary alterations completed once it has been delivered to the boutique.

Whether you are just starting out on the search for your dream dress or you have chosen to say ‘yes’ at Bijou, both types of my bridal appointments are perfect for finding your true style. The Discovery bridal appointment is allotted 1.5 hours and the Decadent bridal appointment is allotted 2 hours.   I don’t like to rush such an important decision and so either appointment gives you time to relax and try on a variety of dresses in Bijou’s warm and friendly environment, with dedicated customer service in my exclusive-use boutique. You can see what each appointment offers on the booking page but if you do have any questions please get in touch.

I recommend bringing a strapless bra, nude undergarments, and shoes with a similar heel height to what you plan on wearing on your wedding day.  Additionally, if you have inspirational photos or a specific style in mind, feel free to bring those as well.  I love seeing your ideas!

Absolutely! I encourage you to bring 1-4 people to your VIP Bridal appointment whose opinions you trust and value, and who will have your best interests at heart.

Yes, I offer in-house alterations by my experienced seamstresses in the boutique.  We will work with you to ensure that your dress fits perfectly for your special day.  No handing out of lists of names and numbers here!

I do – to purchase a Bijou Bridal Gift Certificate, simply go to my booking page and scroll to the bottom where you’ll find multiple options to purchase online.  The perfect gift for the bride-to-be!

This may be very controversial however please allow me to explain.

Since the launch of Bijou, I have always believed that a bride and her special guests should be allowed to enjoy the dress shopping experience in complete privacy without any distractions and to have exclusive use of the boutique space.

Shopping for your wedding dress is like no other shopping expedition, it’s a professional service provided by an experienced bridal consultant with years of knowledge about every single designer and dress style and accessory.  It’s nothing like popping into a department store to buy a set of pyjamas or popping into your local bakery to buy a cake!  Even when you book a hair appointment or a dentist appointment, you are amongst many other clients and service providers but here at Bijou, it is only you that I am helping.  Shopping for a wedding dress is a once in a lifetime experience and needs to be very special indeed.

The appointment fee is a small guarantee that you will arrive for your appointment unless you need to reschedule or cancel, and also because you are booking out the entire boutique to enjoy a personal one to one shopping experience for the entire appointment time, not forgetting all the extra special touches along the way and the provision of refreshments.  You are not just coming to try dresses on but you are coming to make your dreams come true, you are coming to be guided and helped by an award winning bridal consultant in a beautiful dreamy environment, aka my boutique!

I hope this goes a little way to explain why I believe what I offer is worth paying a small appointment fee for.

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please do get in touch by sending me an email to hello@bijoubridalboutique.co.uk and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you.
